VERA the television series has been sold to the Czech republic, Taiwan, Cyprus, Iceland, South Korea, Latvia, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Belgium, New Zealand and Australia (Seven network), and shown in parts of the USA, on Icelandic National TV, as well as India, Slovenia, Singapore and cable deals in Asia and Latin America. January 2015 also brought Les enquêtes de Vera to French televsion.

- Det er en amerikansk sothøne. Tim ble desperat etter å se den, selv om den egentlig er en veldig kjedelig fugl. Men siden han samler på fugler og har sett noe slikt som 450 forskjellige på De britiske øyer, ville han nå ha den amerikanske sothøna inn i samlingen, så ga jeg ham den i julegave.
- Hvordan da?
- Jeg ga ham en reise til Shetland. Vi hadde nesten ingen penger, og hadde bare råd til lugar en vei. Men vi kom oss om bord i ferja fra Aberdeen klokka seks en søndag kveld. Om morgenen kom vi fram. Dette var i januar og det var snø og bitende kaldt. Mens vi lette etter sothøna, så jeg to svarte ravner i den gnistrende hvite snøen. Og jeg tenkte: Hvis det hadde vært litt blod der nå, så kunne det blitt en god historie.
